Liverpool have “re-established” their interested in Brighton defender Ben White, according to journalist Ian McGarry.
The Englishman impressed on loan at Leeds United last season, before heading back to the Seagulls in the summer.
White has been a key man for Graham Potter’s side, too, starting all 12 of his team’s Premier League games to date.
The 23-year-old has been linked with Liverpool numerous times in the past, but a move is yet to materialise.
Speaking on The Transfer Window podcast last Friday, however, McGarry claimed the Reds are back in for the centre-back:
Liverpool have re-established interest, which they showed first of all in the summer, in Brighton defender Ben White, who has made a very, very impressive start to the season at the south coast club, having, of course, completed last season on loan at Leeds United.

White may be impressing for Brighton at the moment, but there is no guarantee that he is good enough to make the step up to Liverpool.
Granted, someone like Andy Robertson has flourished after joining from a struggling team, but he arrived for just £8million.
White would cost far more than that – as much as £50million has been mooted – but is not yet established at the top level, and Brighton are hovering above the relegation zone.
His pass completion rate of 81.4 percent in the league this season is inferior to Fabinho (91.6%), Virgil van Dijk (90.0%), Joe Gomez (89.7%) and Joel Matip (85.9%), suggesting he could take a while to adapt to Liverpool’s ball-playing style, too.
If White was cheaper, a bid would make more sense, but the Reds need to sign a guaranteed top class option for that sort of money, should he be as expensive as is being reported.
