Liverpool learn Ziyech has no release clause in his contract

Liverpool have been linked with Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech, who is said to have a €30 million release clause in his contract – a figure that has attracted multiple clubs across Europe.

However, according to reports in Italy, as cited on Inside Futbol, Ajax do not include release clause into player’s contract as a club policy.

With reports now saying there is no release clause in Ziyech’s contract, his agent and the club have been left to agree on how much the player is worth. The report adds that the two parties have reached an agreement of a €30 million asking price.

With no release clause available, Ajax would be able to hold out for a higher fee for the player.

Multiple clubs have shown their interest in the winger who scored 19 goals for Ajax last season, playing a key role in their journey to the Champions League semi-final.
