Liverpool are interested in signing central defender Ozan Kabak from Bundesliga side Schalke this summer, according to reports from Germany.

When asked if Liverpool had been in contact about the Turkish international defender, officials at Schalke replied “no comment”, which could be a hint that there is some interest from the Premier League champions.
With Dejan Lovren expected to leave Liverpool to join Russian side Zenit, there is a need in the Reds’ squad for a new central defender.
However, Liverpool do have some young players of their own in the ranks, so it would be interesting to see if they’d be willing to bring in a 20-year-old to move above them in the pecking order.
