Liverpool are likely to miss out on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, after Matt Spiro of beIN Sports claimed the Frenchman agreed terms with Barcelona.
The 23-year-old had been widely reported as unsatisfied with his situation at PSG, and was angling for a move away from the Parc des Princes.
Several clubs from all over Europe were said to be keen on the French international, including Liverpool.
However, it seems as though the Catalan giants have got the better of Liverpool this time.

The Reds had been on the hunt for a new midfielder, after a summer deal for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir collapsed after it emerged the play-maker had received some slightly suspect knee surgery in his past.
Rabiot is an effective two-way player, and Jürgen Klopp will no doubt be disappointed he wasn’t able to add the Saint-Maurice native to his squad.
For Klopp, the search is set to continue.
