Liverpool have joined the race to make a shock January move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to Sport [via Sport Witness].
The 24-year-old is reportedly concerned about his current form and may want a move in order to get into Spain’s Euro 2020 squad. Liverpool are believed to be one of the clubs keen on bringing him in as they look to wrestle their way back towards the top of the Premier League table.
Traore is reportedly valued at just over €40m (£35.37m) by Wolves, with his current deal not expiring until the summer of 2023.

Considering that funds appear to be tight at Liverpool, it is difficult to see them signing Traore this month. If they can’t justify bringing in a much-needed centre-back, spending big on another forward makes little sense.
On top of that, Traore would be a risky buy, considering his price tag and the fact that he hasn’t scored a Premier League goal since December 2019, at home to Manchester City.
That is a damning statistic regarding his end product, with Jurgen Klopp keen on having wide players who deliver relentless numbers, whether it be Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Diogo Jota.
