Liverpool are showing an interest in Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi, according to a report from Spain (via The Mirror).
The Algerian international has entered the final 12 months of his contract with Betis and apparently has no interest in signing an extension and as such, the Spanish side are likely to cash in on him this summer.
The report claims that the 28-year-old could be available for around £10m and that both The Reds and Newcastle are showing interest in him.

With doubts about the future of Dejan Lovren, a reported target for Russian side Zenit, Liverpool could well be in the market for a fourth-choice centre-back and Mandi could be an ideal option, given that he could also provide cover at full-back, another area of the squad where Liverpool could do with a back-up option.
If Liverpool can sell Lovren and sign his replacement, who can also offer cover at full-back, and do so whilst walking away with a net profit, then Michael Edwards could be tempted to sanction the sale of the Croatian and the complete the signing of the Betis star.
