Liverpool could ‘make move’ for Brazilian attacker with 17 G/A in Premier League last season

Liverpool could reportedly make a move for West Brom attacking midfielder Matheus Pereira this summer.

The Reds have found themselves without Georginio Wijnaldum next season after his move to French giants PSG.

This has led to a number of talented players being linked with a move to the Reds in the market.

Latest reports have suggested that the club are set to make a €40million bid for Atletico Madrid’s Saúl Ñíguez.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, via The Anfield Buzz, the Reds should target the Brazilian…

Pereira was one of the star performers for the Baggies last season, managing 11 goals and 6 assists in the Premier League.

His goalscoring and dribbling ability are certainly something that would benefit the Reds.

Despite him and West Brom finding themselves relegated last season, the likelihood is that the 25-year-old could come at a fair price.

With a current market value of £13.5million according to Transfermarkt, it could look to be a great deal.

There may be certain reservations over the club making a move for a player such as Pereira given his relegation.

However, it is key to remember the remarkable job that Klopp has done with the likes of Andy Robertson and Wijnaldum.

The German has the fantastic ability to find diamonds in the rough and turning them into world-beaters.

Pereira’s obvious talent is undeniable, partnered with Klopp’s know-how, it could be a great signing for the Reds.
