Liverpool reportedly hold talks with agent of Aleix Vidal

According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, the representatives of Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal are in England to talk to Liverpool about a possible move for their client.

The right-back/right winger is apparently keen to make a move away from the club in order to help his prospects of making Spain’s squad for the summer’s World Cup in Russia, after being limited to many sub appearances so far this season for the La Liga giants.

The Reds are well covered at right back for the  moment, but Jurgen Klopp could be looking for a more experienced player in this position. Nathaniel Clyne’s status is still up in the air and whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold has done well on occasions, Liverpool have had to use centre back  Joe Gomez at right-back due to a lack of depth.

Whether there is any truth in the report, which seems unlikely, remains to be seen but it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see Liverpool in the market for a right-back in the summer.
