Liverpool are reportedly still Thomas Lemar’s first choice after he rejected a new Monaco deal, according to The Independent.
The Reds came in for the 22-year-old in the recent summer transfer window , but Monaco turned their bid down due to the fact that many of their title winning squad leftand they didn’t want to sell another star player.
Jurgen Klopp was keen on him, going in with a £78m offer, but that wasn’t enough to get the player he wanted.

It is believed that although Liverpool have the powerful front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah, the Reds will still go for Lemar in the summer.
It is believed that Lemar’s preferred destination is Anfield, and that he has turned down a contract extension offer at Monaco so that he can join Klopp’s men in the summer.
