Liverpool will ‘go strongly’ in their efforts to sign Udinese midfielder Rodrigo De Paul this summer, according to Sport Mediaset [via Sport Witness].
The 26-year-old is having an impressive season for the Serie A club, starting 22 of his side’s league games.
Liverpool have been tipped to make a move for De Paul in recent weeks, with the Argentina international seen as someone who could bolster the Reds’ midfield options.
The rumour isn’t going away and this latest update claims that the Udinese star is seen as ‘key’ to Jurgen Klopp’s summer rebuild at Anfield.

De Paul has the potential to be an exciting addition for Liverpool, with the Reds’ midfield in need of a new lease of life.
The Argentine has scored five league goals this season, which is more than Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Thiago, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain combined. They have registered just three times between them in the Premier League.
That suggests De Paul could bring some much-needed guile and end product from the middle of the park, especially with Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner all in their 30s and Thiago reaching that milestone in April.
