Liverpool are reportedly targeting Coventry’s Tom Bayliss this summer in a £500k move, according to TEAMtalk, as cited on the Shields Gazette.
It’s also reported that Newcastle United and Everton are interested in the youngster, who has impressed since breaking into the Coventry first-team squad.
Bayliss first made it into the first-team last season with Coventry last season and he did not look back, enjoying a great season.
The 20-year-old played a key role as Coventry won promotion to League One last year through the play-offs.
Bayliss has again played a key role this season, playing in 38 games in League One as Coventry enjoyed an impressive campaign, narrowly missing out on a play-off place in eighth.
The midfielder was rewarded for his fine form with his first call-up to the England U19s squad last year.
His fine performances do not seem to have gone unnoticed though and Coventry may have a big fight on their hands if they want to keep a hold of their most prized asset this summer with the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle among the teams interested in securing his services.
