Liverpool turn their attentions to Bailey as they end Lemar interest

Liverpool have now shown an interest in bringing in youngster Leon Bailey to the club after missing out Thomas Lemar according to the Mirror.

The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has attracted interest from a whole host of English club including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City but Jurgen Klopp is confident of getting a deal over the line.

The Reds have ended their interest in Lemar, who was heavily linked with moves to both Liverpool and Arsenal during January window.

Klopp believes that they have missed the boat in terms of landing Lemar and see his future lying elsewhere.

The Reds would have been forced to pay £90 million to land the French international and a price of near £100 million would be needed to bring Bailey to the club.

The Jamaican has scored 10 times in all competitions this season which has brought him to the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.
