Wolves have reportedly made £10m bid for Liverpool striker despite Reds demanding £20m

Liverpool have a huge summer ahead of them in regards to the current transfer window.

The Reds have already completed a key signing in a weakened area of the squad with Ibrahima Konaté.

With that also comes the obvious departures that the club could see, with a number of players rumoured over an exit.

Belgium striker Divock Origi has been subject to plenty of links over the last few years after a lack of game time.

It had been reported some time back that Wolves were interested in the 26-year-old forward.

However, it now appears as though their interest has turned to intent, following a reported bid.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the club has made a £10million bid for the striker this summer…

As cited by DaveOCKOP above, it is some way off of Liverpool’s £20million valuation of Origi.

The club is in need of transfer funds this summer if they wish to make any more signings in the window.

It had been reported that the club was operating on limited finances and player sales would play a huge role.

However, Wolves’ bid is way off of the mark that Liverpool was hoping to receive for the Belgium.

HIs time at the club may not have been the most incredible but he has managed to show his quality on more than one occasion.

The decision now rests in the club’s hands as to whether they try to counter Wolves’ offer, or refuse it outright.

It would be a mistake to turn down the offer completely, with concrete interest in Origi hard to come by.

Although £20million for his services would be a great deal for the Reds, they may have to think more realistically.

Any money towards the transfer pot is worthwhile and it may be the sensible option to accept Wolves’ offer before it is too late.
