Jurgen Klopp insists he is yet to decide who will start in goal for the Reds next season as Simon Mignolet, Loris Karius and Danny Ward vie for the number one spot.
Mignolet overcame competition from new arrival Karius last season, starting 28 Premier League games and making a number of critical stops in the latter part of the campaign.
Karius was initially favoured, but a series of costly blunders consigned the young German to a place on the bench from December onwards.
Meanwhile, Ward was impressing on loan at Huddersfield, keeping 11 clean sheets as the club earned promotion to the Premier League.
Whilst Klopp could now find himself with a selection headache, he believes the array of goalkeeping talent puts him in a “very comfortable” position.
“That’s very comfortable for the manager, three really good goalkeepers,” he told the official Liverpool website.
“It is like it is and nothing is decided, they can all show how good they are. I don’t want to bring doubt so that they start doubting. They are at a fantastic club and a fantastic football club needs fantastic goalkeepers.”
Klopp was impressed by all three last term and seems set to hand each ‘keeper an opportunity in pre-season before he makes a decision.
“We had a really good goalkeeping season,” he said. “Yes, it was a little bit difficult for Loris but I’m sure he had his part in the development of Simon, who played a really good season.
“And Danny played a fantastic season at Huddersfield with a big success at the end.
“We have three goalkeepers and they can all show what they are able to do, and then we will see who will start.”
