Lloyd Jones signs new two-year contract

The 19-year-old, who is yet to make a first team appearance, spent a short spell on loan at Cheltenham Town in League 2 this season.

Jones has been capped at both under-18 and under-19 level for Wales, after moving to Anfield from Plymouth prior to the start of the 2011/12 campaign.

The Plymouth-born defender is rated highly amongst the coaching staff at Liverpool, and has been a constant performer in the youth teams.

He has now committed his immediate future to the club, with a view to becoming a first team regular after experiencing being in a matchday squad for the senior team when the Reds travelled to Fulham at the back end of the 2012/13 campaign.
