Manchester United have made an enquiry about the services of Raheem Sterling, according to The Telegraph.
Louis Van Gaal is thought to be keen on adding Sterling to United’s squad this summer, after the 20 year-old has expressed his desire to leave Merseyside.
Sterling, who has been in talks with Liverpool over a new contract through the majority of the season, has received a lot of stick from the Liverpool fans about recent revelations in the press.
Liverpool have insisted to United, though, that Sterling isn’t for sale – especially to a rival side.
It would be surprising if Liverpool were to let one of their best players move to a top four rival, regardless of the price.
Sterling has too been linked with a move to the other Manchester giants, City.
But Louis Van Gaal’s side have made the first official move in the Raheem Sterling saga; but Liverpool are standing firm, as it stands.
