Wantaway Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne is being widely tipped by the bookmakers to make a return to Crystal Palace this summer.
Former Reds manager Roy Hodgson will be prioritising a right-back signing after losing Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, and Clyne is the odds-on favourite to fill that hole.
Sky Bet are backing Palace to re-sign the 28-year-old at the short price of 4/5, with the next most likely destination being West Ham United at 18/1.
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s phenomenal uprise at Anfield has seen Clyne blocked out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans and he spent last season on loan at Bournemouth – 20/1 to sign him permanently.
The 19-year-old has been ever-present as the Reds notched up their highest-ever Premier League points tally and won the Champions League, with large thanks to his genius corner in the semi-final against Barcelona.
His impressive exploits have made Clyne a bit of a forgotten man on Merseyside, but hopefully, he can get his career back on track if he does move to Selhurst Park.
