Nicolas Pepe is edging closer to completing his move to Arsenal. Earlier today, it was confirmed by David Ornstein, that Lille and Arsenal have agreed a £72m deal.
In recent hours, reports in Italy suggest that Nicolas Pepe said “yes” to Arsenal’s proposal and will have his medical next week.
Calcio Napoli, also mentions that Pepe will earn €9m per year at Arsenal and his agent will receive €12m in commission fees, four times what Napoli had offered.
According to La Voix Du Nord, as cited by GFFN, the Reds have pursued a deal for the Ivorian, with their proposals under consideration. However, this is not looking unlikely due to the fact Pepe is edging closer to the Gunnars.
Nicolas Pepe had a phenomenal campaign last season. Lille’s talisman bagged 23 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
With less than two weeks to go, the current European Champions have not bought a first-team player.
