As per a report in AS, Liverpool target Jan Oblak is still yet to renew his contract at Atletico Madrid.
The Slovenian’s contract is up in 2021, meaning there is some time to go until he can leave on a free. However, with a release clause of €100 million attracting interest from across Europe, Atletico will surely be trying to renew his deal.

Oblak did speak about his contract, back on the 13th January. The Slovenian said; “Renewing my contract? My current contract runs until 2021, but I haven’t spoken to the club about it. I’m focusing on my job out on the pitch; whatever happens will happen but that won’t depend on me alone”.
However, comments made by Enrique Cerezo, president of Atletico, to Radio Marca have raised a few eyebrows. The president said that;”He’s already renewed”, suggesting Atletico do not intend to renew Oblak’s deal until closer to the time.
Liverpool are just one of a number of clubs interested in Oblak’s signature. PSG, Arsenal and Juventus have also taken an interest in the Slovenian.
