Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
After Keane Lewis-Potter gave the home side the lead, goals from Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak turned the tide in the Reds’ favour.
Rio Ngumoha featured as a substitute for Liverpool in that game and once again produced a bright performance.
And speaking after the game, the young Englishman confirmed that his agent his handling his contract talks with the club.
Rio Ngumoha makes Liverpool future admission
“To be fair, that is all with my agent now,” Ngumoha said via The Liverpool Echo.
“I think it is all going well. I am not too sure. I just let the football do the talking at the end of the day.
“So I enjoy playing and all of that stuff about contracts is in the back of my mind really. I just play for the club, play for Liverpool and hopefully I can carry on doing well.”
Ngumoha seems to be enjoying his time at Liverpool and spoke earlier this season about how much he wants to succeed at the club.
Judging by his comments, he is letting his football do the talking while his agent handles contract talks with the club, which is exactly how things need to be.
That said, let’s hope the two parties come to an agreement and sign on the dotted line soon as he is clearly one of the brightest attacking talents in world football.
