Liverpool’s squad is hardly perfect, but in terms of their attack, it goes without saying that they have a lot of firepower.
Hugo Ekitike is injured and Federico Chiesa is seemingly out of favour, but despite that, Andoni Iraola can call upon the likes of Alexander Isak, Lewis Koumas, Victor Munoz, Rio Ngumoha, Cody Gakpo and Bradley Barcola.
The Reds have been productive in the final third over the past couple of games, scoring eight goals.
One player who has continued to make massive strides this season is Ngumoha, who came off the bench and made a massive impression vs Brentford.
And Jamie Carragher feels Liverpool must do whatever it takes to tie him down to a new deal.
Jamie Carragher wants Rio Ngumoha to stay at Liverpool
The Reds are already in talks with the youngster and his agents over a new deal and are expected to reach an agreement soon.
Earlier this week, Ngumoha spoke about how happy he is at Liverpool, which is another sign that he will put pen to paper shortly.
And Carragher feels he is one of the best young attackers in the world, so he should continue his development at Anfield.
“Rio Ngumoha is one of the best young players in the country,” said Carragher via Sky Sports.
“He’s already in the England squad. Liverpool have to tie him down. He made a huge difference when he came on against Brentford.
“He said he’s close to signing a new contract, so hopefully they will get pen to paper very shortly.”
Ngumoha is yet to score this season and will look to make a mark when Liverpool take on Villarreal later today.
