Liverpool are slowly clicking into gear under Andoni Iraola and will look to make it three wins on the bounce when they take on Villarreal later today.
After dispatching LASK in midweek, the Reds came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 in what turned out to be an eventful game of football.
Victor Munoz scored the equaliser for Liverpool on the night as he showed his class once again for his new club.
The Spaniard scored his second Premier League goal for the Reds and played around 30 minutes of football as a right-back after an injury to Jeremie Frimpong.
And Steven Gerrard feels Munoz is yet to get the credit he deserves after his strong start to life at Anfield.
Steven Gerrard hails Liverpool attacker Victor Munoz
“He’s been fantastic for Liverpool,” said Gerrard via The Overlap.
“He hasn’t had enough praise or credit, maybe because a lot of people are talking about Wirtz and Barcola. But he came in for €40m and has been outstanding, a breath of fresh air.”
All of Liverpool’s new signings have already made an impact. However, Gerrard is right in claiming that Munoz is yet to get the credit he deserves as he has taken to Premier League football like a duck to water.
Long may it continue!
