Origi uncertain about Liverpool future

Divock Origi has spoken to the media today about his future at Liverpool and how uncertain he is about it.

Origi is on loan at Wolfsburg, currently sitting 14th in the Bundesliga, just two places outside of the relegation zone, but has scored four goals and made one assist in 11 appearances in Germany so far and there has been talk that he could make his loan move permanent next summer, or pursue a move elsewhere if he’s not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

The Belgian striker, signed by Brendan Rodgers, is Wolfsburg’s joint top scorer alongside Daniel Didavi, so is impressing and showing that more game time, the reason he went on loan, was good for him.

Liverpool’s attack is already incredible, with the deadly trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino, along with others such as Daniel Sturridge, and the youngsters Dominic Solanke and Ben Woodburn, so Origi had to go on loan to ensure getting minutes to prove his worth.

Speaking to the media, the 22-year-old striker said (via Liverpool Echo):

It’s difficult to say, what I can say is that I want to one day show my talent at a constant level.

That comes from playing, learning, expressing yourself and going through good and difficult moments.

Origi has played as a striker, his preferred position in England and as a right-winger under Wolfsburg’s new manager Martin Schmidt. However, Origi has spoken about how he wants to be the complete striker and fight his way into Liverpool’s first team ahead of all that talent.
