Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted that he hopes to feature in the Champions League final against Tottenham.
The England international missed over a year of first-team action after suffering a serious knee injury.
He was just finding some of the best form of his career before the injury, and he made his long-awaited return in Liverpool’s demolition of Huddersfield as a late substitute on April 26.

The 25-year-old was in the squad for each of Liverpool’s last two games, but he is yet to start for the first team since returning to full fitness.
In an interview with the club’s official website, Oxlade-Chamberlain spoke openly about his serious injury.
I wasn’t able to get loads of minutes [in the final league games], but I was happy to just come back. Dreams are made of maybe having some part to play in Madrid, but it’s not about me – it’s about making sure whoever is on the pitch does the job for the club and for the team.
If I can be involved, that would be amazing, but just to be around it and be fit and healthy again is good for me as well at the minute.
In the biggest game of their respective seasons, Liverpool meet Tottenham in the Champions League final on June 1.
Both sides have done remarkably well to even make it to the final, as each came from behind to pull off incredible comebacks to advance to Madrid.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to be part of Liverpool’s squad for the final and it would be great for him and the club should he make a big impact in the game.
