Following speculation that Liverpool’s back-up goalkeeper Simon Mignolet could be on the move this summer, Crystal Palace have expressed their interest after Liverpool named an £8 million price tag, according to the Evening Standard.
The Belgian was signed by Liverpool back in the 2013/14 season from Sunderland and has made over 150 league appearances for the Reds so far.
But since the arrival of Brazilian keeps Alisson, Mignolet’s opportunities have been few and far between and Klopp may look at signing a new keeper for the cup competition next season.
Should Liverpool recoup around £8 million for the player, it would be deemed good business for both parties as the shot-stopper has proven he can hold his own when required.
The 31-year-old is also of interest to Premier League side Brighton who look to add competition for the reliable Matt Ryan.
Palace, however, have opted with Vicente Guaita last season but Mignolet could be the perfect fit for Roy Hodgson’s side.
