Philippe Coutinho wants to return to Liverpool this summer and has even pleaded with Jurgen Klopp to make a move to get him back to Anfield.
According to a report from Kevin Palmer of The Sunday World, Coutinho and his agent Kia Joorabchian have made it clear that the Brazilian wants a Reds’ return this summer and that he is willing to take a big pay cut in order to complete a move.
Barcelona are reportedly ready to let Coutinho leave on loan this summer and are even willing to pay some of his wages to make a move happen as they look set to massively cut costs in the wake of the global pandemic.
Whilst he left in different circumstances, Coutinho’s impact at Anfield was a major one as he scored 54 goals and got 43 assists for the club at it looks like he wants the chance to add to those totals

With Liverpool’s funds potentially limited, a loan move for Coutinho could be a more financially sound way for Klopp to make a major addition without having to splash out a massive transfer fee.
However, the way Coutinho forced his move to Barcelona back in 2018 won’t be forgotten by some fans, so the overall reaction to such a transfer may not be completely positive.
The same could be said for the feelings of Klopp too. The manager is so keen to keep spirits high and keep his squad united, so how he will feel about a player who had a ‘back injury’ whilst trying to get a move remains a to be seen.
From a playing point of view, Coutinho obviously knows Klopp’s system and style of play very, very well and he’s already proven that he can link up with the current Reds‘ front three.
In a summer where training time is almost certainly going to be reduced when compared to a regular pre-season, getting a player who already knows how things work could be an advantage for Liverpool.
