According to the Daily Star, Spanish heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid have cooled their interest in Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.
A move to Barcelona had seemed more likely for the Egyptian but they have reportedly chosen to pursue Antoine Griezmann over him. This is massive news as Salah has reached astronomical levels this season in regards to his performances and if Liverpool were to sell him, it would spark outrage amongst supporters.
The rumoured price for Salah’s services is around £200 million, which is considerably more than the £35 million Liverpool paid Roma in the summer.

Griezmann apparently has a buy-out clause in his Atletico Madrid contract for £86 million, which is seemingly more appealing for Barcelona.
Barcelona would simply not have enough money left to strengthen other areas if a deal for Salah would materialise, so the price is the main factor.
Real Madrid have also called a halt in their pursuit for Salah as Los Blancos are not prepared to pay £200 million for Liverpool’s goal machine. Real had been linked ever since January but a deal in the summer now seems off.
