Real Madrid believe Liverpool are the other club that made ‘concrete approach’ for Kylian Mbappé

This summer transfer window has already thrown up some incredible rumours and some astronomical business.

With just under a week left for clubs to complete their dealings, time is running out for new additions at Anfield.

The Reds have already completed the signing of Ibrahima Konaté but no new faces have appeared as of yet.

It recently broke yesterday that Real Madrid had submitted an offer to PSG for French superstar Kylian Mbappé.

However, it was also being reported just prior to this that an unnamed Premier League club had also lodged a ‘concrete offer‘.

With that, Spanish football expert Alvaro Montero featured on Sky Sports yesterday to discuss the situation.

As a Real Madrid insider, Montero stated that the La Liga club believes Liverpool are the other club…

As cited by LFC Transfer Room above, Real believe that Liverpool are the other club to submit an offer.

Whether this is true or not is completely unknown, with Montero himself also not sure on that information.

However, the Spanish giants clearly have their thoughts and feel they have the upper hand in regards to Mbappé.

It is obvious that Real have a financial upper hand over Liverpool in the race for the French striker.

Liverpool are very conservative with their spending and that has been obvious over the last few years.

A deal for Mbappé would no doubt be the most expensive in the history of football, meaning the Reds would have to cough up plenty of cash to secure the forward.

There is no denying that Liverpool fans including myself would do anything to have Mbappé at Anfield.

Sadly, the reality of the club being able to bring him to the club without the risk of losing a lot of money is too great.
