Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to keep hold of Marco Asensio this summer, with Liverpool eyeing a move for the 23-year-old.
Perez is said to be a big fan of the versatile midfielder and is hoping he can establish himself as a regular starter for Real next season, with the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale both rumoured to be leaving the club this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on a move for the Spain international, and according to the Mirror, via Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Liverpool boss is set to make a move for the 23-year-old this summer.

Perez, however, is eager to see Asensio become one of Zinedine Zidane’s key men next season, as Los Blancos attempt to close the gap on runaway La Liga champions Barcelona.
Asensio has made 42 appearances for Los Blancos this season, starting in over half of them, but has scored just six goals and created only five assists.
