Neil Moxley from the Sunday People is reporting Liverpool have offered Real Madrid £22million for the transfer of Russian winger Denis Cheryshev. The 24-year-old has spent the past two seasons on loan in Spain with Sevilla and Villareal.
The Mirror are reporting this move would allow Jordon Ibe to be sent on loan for the second campaign in a row, even though it appears manager Brendan Rodgers has no plans of sending Ibe on loan since he recalled him from Derby County last season.
Rafa Benitez will apparently discuss the situation with his backroom staff, and as Real Madrid are already at least five players deep at the winger position, the former Liverpool boss would likely be happy to accept £22 million for a player he does not need.
Villarreal, who Cheryshev spent the last season with, are also reported to be interested in bringing the winger back permanently.
