Liverpool’s search for a striker goes on, as Carlos Bacca is snapped up by Italian giants AC Milan.
The player’s agent has confirmed his client has agreed terms with the club, it’s up to Sevilla and Milan to complete the deal. Liverpool decided against matching Sevilla’s asking price and have pulled out.
“I can confirm that Milan and the player have reached an agreement,” said Bacca’s agent Sergio Barila. “Carlos has chosen the best for his future, it is normal to be happy.”
In related news, Liverpool are still hoping that Aston Villa will budge on their £32.5million asking price for striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian is reportedly Liverpool’s number one target.
Behind Benteke, the Echo is also reporting that Zenit’s Soloman Rondon is an alternative.
Boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on bringing another striker on board on top of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi.
