Georginio Wijnaldum is line to return to the Liverpool’s side for Saturday’s game against Huddersfield after overcoming a knee injury, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Dutchman sat out the Reds’ 4-1 defeat against Spurs, with Jurgen Klopp revealing he was in too much pain to feature after picking up the knock in training.
The German went with a midfield trio of Jordan Henderson, Emre Can and James Milner at Wembley, but each struggled to make an impact on the game.
Wijnaldum, though, made sufficient progress to return to full training at Melwood on Wednesday.

Klopp will be thankful to have the energetic Dutchman at his disposal as he looks to ensure a recovery from Sunday’s gut-wrenching loss.
Prior to his injury, Wijnaldum had started all but one of Liverpool’s Premier League games.
He has yet to score this season but has shone on occasion, earning plaudits for a lively display against Manchester United.
He may well return to the team as part of an expected reshuffle which could see Dejan Lovren and Simon Mignolet lose their places.
