Liverpool have seemingly caused a stir at Bayern Munich with their reported interest in Jamal Musiala, according to reputable German outlet SportBILD.
Last season’s European treble winners have apparently taken to being ‘on their guard’ as the Premier League champions take an interest in the highly-rated 17-year-old.
It’s no surprise Musiala is attracted admirers given his performances in one of the few teams who could legitimately claim they have been on a par with Liverpool in the last 18 months.
The report from BILD claimed that Musiala’s rise to prominence has ‘made people stand up and take notice’ – particularly in England, where talkSPORT reported that the Reds, Manchester United and Manchester City had all expressed their interest.
Jurgen Klopp has been described as a great admirer of the Stuttgart-born midfielder, enough of a reason for Bayern to negotiate a bumper new deal.
The teenager has played for both Germany and England at junior representative levels and could feasibly have a decision to make over his international career in the not too distant future.

With three goals in nine Bundesliga appearances and with Klopp’s tendency to place plenty of trust in youngsters, this is a move which would make perfect sense, should the Reds have the wherewithal to pull it off.
Unfortunately, dealing with a fellow superpower in the football world such as the Bavarian giants isn’t simply a case of money talks. It seems likely that the player would need to express his own desire to make the move happen – similar to how the Thiago Alcantara deal occurred during the last transfer window.
There may be some fans who believe Curtis Jones is simply a better version of Musiala – the two have very similar attributes and the Scouser has had the better season thus far based on stats.,
We could certainly see Musiala lining up alongside Jones, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harvey Elliott for years to come – so let’s hope Klopp’s charm and infectious smile can be persuasive.
