Liverpool have been given a boost as Roma’s Kevin Strootman is unlikely to be available for Roma in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday night.
The midfielder has featured in every game in this season’s competition but is struggling with an injury ahead of the semi-final.

Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco was speaking in his pre-match press conference and admitted that the Dutchman was unlikely to feature on Wednesday.
As for injury news, unfortunately, it’s hard to see Kevin Strootman being involved.
The match at the Stadio Olimpico is sold out and Liverpool will be under a lot of pressure from the home crowd as they look to hold on to the 5-2 from after last week’s first leg at Anfield. That is where Strootman suffered his injury, a leg contusion in the final few minutes.
This gives the Reds an even better chance of reaching the final as Roma will be missing such a key player. In fact, only Edin Dzeko and goalkeeper Alisson have made more appearances for the Italian side.
