Ryan Kent named Rangers’ Young Player of the Year

Young winger Ryan Kent has been a fan favourite during his time on loan at Scottish side Rangers this season, and his form has been recognised by the supporters who voted for him as the clubs Young Player of the Year, Rangers’ official website revealed.

The Englishman has scored six and assisted nine in 39 games in all competitions for Steven Gerrard’s side, and has been linked with another loan move in the summer after cementing his place as the clubs starting left winger.

Kent has been on loan to Coventry City, Barnsley, Frieberg and Bristol City in the past but has failed to cement a permanent place at Anfield.

At 22-years-old, he will be looking for some serious game time and maybe he should look somewhere else other than Liverpool for some opportunities.

Rangers are currently in second place in the Scottish Premiership and Gerrard will be looking to take his side back into Europe for next season.

Since their return to the top flight they haven’t really returned to the heights that the club once was, but Gerrard has been an important figure in trying to restore that glory.

Kent was joined by fellow Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria for the first half of the season at Rangers, while former Red Jon Flanagan also left Anfield for Ibrox in a permanent deal last summer.

Colombian forward Alfredo Morelos won top goal scorer, player of the year and player’s player of the year in the awards last night.
