Egypt have revealed that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will be fit to play in the World Cup in Russia this summer, BBC Sport reports.
The Liverpool star was substituted early into his side’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid at the weekend after injuring his shoulder.
Concerns had been arising since the weekend that Salah would therefore be out of action for the World Cup.
But the Egypt national team’s doctor has since said that Salah will be fit to play some part for his country at this summer’s World Cup and that the striker’s absence “will not exceed” three weeks.
Salah enjoyed a remarkable debut season for Liverpool as he picked up both the PFA Player of the Year and the Premier League’s Golden Boot award.
Egypt’s opening World Cup game is on 15 June as they take on Uruguay in Group A with Russia and Saudi Arabia completing the group.
