Liverpool youngster Sepp van den Berg will spend the entire 2021/22 campaign on loan in the Championship with Preston North End.
The 19-year-old central defender is set to rejoin the Lancashire club after spending the second half of the 2020/21 season at Deepdale.
Van den Berg played 16 times for the Lilywhites in the second tier and earned an average Sofascore rating of 6.81 along the way.
The Dutchman’s loan move was confirmed by the Reds on Monday afternoon and posted on the official Twitter account.

Since arriving at Anfield in the summer of 2019 from PEC Zwolle, the Netherlands youth international has featured four times for Jurgen Klopp’s first team to date.
Prior to the move that followed ex-Preston ace, Ben Davies, heading to Liverpool on deadline day, Van den Berg made 11 appearances for the Reds – nine of which came for the Under 23s in the Premier League 2 competition.

This move makes an abundance of sense for all parties.
Unlikely to feature for Liverpool with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate ahead in the pecking order, the Dutch youngster needs to gain more senior exposure.
It’s not just that impressive quartet standing in the teenager’s way, with Davies himself, Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams all staking their claim for a place in Klopp’s plans.
Van den Berg is certainly best steering clear of the central defensive department at Anfield for at least one more season and the Championship is a high-quality level to gain valuable experience.
