Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri limped off during Switzerland’s UEFA Nations League this-place play-off clash against England on Sunday.
The winger signalled to the bench in the second half of the tie to suggest there was a problem, before limping off with a suspected muscular problem.

Liverpool will clearly be hoping the midfielder has not suffered a serious injury, with Shaqiri an important member of the squad after making 30 appearances in all competitions last season.
The Reds will take positives from the Switzerland international’s injury history, however, with the winger’s last problem coming back in 2016 when he suffered a calf problem at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
Fellow Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold has also been in action in the third-place play-off, with the full-back being one of England’s standout players in a relatively dull affair.
