Xherdan Shaqiri sat out of Liverpool’s training session today as the Reds were put through their paces ahead of Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford.
As reported by This Is Anfield, Shaqiri was not involved, but both Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were present.
While he was not expected to start against Man United, not having the player available would come as a blow to Jurgen Klopp.

A great player to call upon from the bench, his absence would limit the German’s options in the final third against their Premier League rivals.
Shaqiri has been struggling with a calf injury this season but has been back in training as he bids to force his way into the Reds team.
The 28-year-old has been limited to just two Premier League appearances from the bench this season.
With just over 10 minutes of Premier League football to his name, Shaqiri will be hoping to make an impact in the team as soon as possible.
