Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic is confident that he will remain in charge of the club for this weekend’s fixture at Anfield, according to reports from the Mirror.
Despite growing speculation over the Serb’s future following a poor defeat at Huddersfield on Monday night, Jokanovic insists he still has the backing of owner Shahid Khan.
Jokanovic also believes that he is capable of turning their fortunes around after dropping to the foot of the Premier League and has taken inspiration from Crystal Palace last season.
It’s not a nice situation for us being bottom of the Premier League. It’s extra pressure for the team, for all of us. But if you look at last season, after 11 games, Crystal Palace were on four points and they didn’t get relegated to the Championship.
With Jokanovic now favourite for the sack, he admits that they need to start picking up points up soon if they want to avoid an immediate return to the second tier.
There are many points to win and many games ahead of us, but we need to improve immediately.

However, when you are desperate for points, there are certainly easier fixtures than a trip to Anfield to take on one of three unbeaten sides in the league.
The odds will be stacked in Liverpool’s favour when they meet on Sunday, especially given that their visitors have by far the worst defence in the division.
The sight of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will be a frightening one for Jokanovic as he is set to be tasked with finding a way to stop leaking goals.
Jurgen Klopp will see this fixture as an opportunity for the usual lethal trio to rediscover their form of last season and hopefully capitalise on any slip up made by Manchester City later in the day.
