Thomas Lemar keen to make move to Anfield

Liverpool have made a club-record bid to Monaco for Thomas Lemar, and it appears that the France international is keen on a move to Merseyside.

The French international is rumoured to be “enthusiastic over a switch to Anfield”, which would see him become Liverpool’s record signing at over £70m.

Comfortable on either foot and comfortable to operate across the front line, Lemar would fit perfectly into Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the season.

Liverpool are insistent that any move for Lemar will not influence their stance on Philippe Coutinho who is still not for sale.

There is a possibility that Divock Origi could play a part in bringing Lemar to Anfield, with Klopp having already suggested that the Belgian international could leave on loan this summer. He said:

If players come in, I think it makes sense to think about what we do on the other side.

matchday.
