‘Top level’ – Andoni Iraola says Liverpool midfielder is back to his best form

Liverpool are set to take on Brighton tomorrow in what promises to be an exciting game of Premier League football.

The Reds have a handful of injury concerns to deal with, and with the Seagulls currently in fantastic form, they certainly won’t be pushovers.

Alexis Mac Allister is set to face off against his former club, where he made a name for himself as one of the most exciting midfielders in the Premier League before his move to Anfield.

And Andoni Iraola feels the Argentine is slowly recapturing his best form this season.

Andoni Iraola says Alexis Mac Allister back to his best for Liverpool

“I think he is another leader that we have with his experience,” said Iraola in his pre-match press conference when asked about Mac Allister.

“He has been involved in top-level games, won things at club and country. After two or three weeks when he returned, with us he was in great form and performing consistently well. He is in a place where he is consistent.”

Mac Allister seems like he is loving life under the Spaniard and has already scored four goals for the club this season.

He was Liverpool’s matchwinner with a brace vs Villarreal in midweek and will look to get one over his former club tomorrow.
