Three Liverpool youngsters set for loan moves this month

According to the Liverpool Echo, three more Liverpool youngsters are set to go out on loan by the end of the January transfer window, depleting their under-23 squad even further.

Under-23 captain, Harry Wilson, big prospect Ovie Ejaria and Lloyd Jones are all set to spend time out on loan from Liverpool, with deals for the players set to be done by the end of the window.

Matty Virtue and Corey Whelan have gone out on loan, Cameron Brannagan has joined Oxford on a permanent deal and England U17 World Cup star, Rhian Brewster, has been ruled out with an ankle injury – so Neil Critchley’s side is looking very thin right now.

Critchley has had this to say about his squad.

You look at Harry, Ovie and we still have Lloyd with us at the moment. They would be the three who would come under the radar of other clubs. There are lots of variables.

What happens at first-team level will have an impact on who stays and who goes. If they go on loan, brilliant, if they don’t and they keep playing well here they will be knocking on the door. They are in a good situation at the moment. There is no rush for them. We’ll see what happens over the next week.
