Liverpool may sanction the double departure of two defensive options from Anfield this month.
The Reds reportedly ‘could allow’ both Neco Williams and Nat Phillips to leave the club should suitable offers be forthcoming.
That’s according to a report from Sky Sports, as cited by News World Express on Twitter.

The report claims that the club are ‘sympathetic’ towards a desire from the 17 times capped Williams to play first-team football and will sell if the ‘right offer was made’ during the window.
Meanwhile, Phillips has been ‘attracting interest from Serie A clubs’ and Liverpool may cash in should offers of around £15million be forthcoming.
So far this season the duo have amassed a combined 10 appearances across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Both valued at £7.2million (Transfermarkt), the Anfield club would be confident of receiving decent sums for their fringe players.
However, given the difficultly of the current landscape and in particular, Covid-19 causing mass unavailability, allowing players to leave can be viewed as a risk regardless of squad status.
Whilst the hero of last term Phillips has been ousted by the returnees and the arrival of Ibrahima Konate, Williams remains the only senior understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold and therefore may have to wait a little longer for a move away.
