Liverpool will reportedly ‘enter the race’ to sign Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The Reds have been linked elsewhere with a sensational move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham.
Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old recently
However, a report from the Daily Star, as cited by Anfield Edition on Twitter has claimed that the Anfield club are also ‘keeping close tabs’ on Phillips.
The report states that Leeds will demand a fee in the region of £60million for the 17 times capped ace.
Furthermore, the same report suggests that the ‘Yorkshire Pirlo’ would prefer a move to Merseyside whilst the Daily Express claims that the Reds may offer Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino or James Milner as part of the deal.
This season Phillips, who was described as ‘excellent’ by Gareth Southgate, has earned an outstanding Sofascore rating of 7.33 Premier League outings.

Valued at £36million and under contract at Elland Road until 2024 (Transfermarkt), spending the mooted £60million on the defensive midfielder would be a worthwhile expenditure.
Fellow Yorkshireman Milner is expected to hang up his boots in the near future, freeing up space in the midfield department at Anfield.
One major drawback, however, would be the potential impact on any deal for Bellingham as Dortmund reportedly demand a club record £101million fee for the 18-year-old.
Albeit both players have their differing qualities, spending in excess of £150million in one fell swoop seems unlikely.
