Liverpool central midfielder James Milner has made an early start to pre-season training as the experienced ace looks forward to yet another season at the top level.
The upcoming 2021/22 campaign will be the Yorkshireman’s 19th professional campaign having made a debut in the 2002/03 season for Leeds United.
Spells with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City followed on from a start with his boyhood club, before signing for the Reds in 2015.
Milner has gone on to make 250 appearances for the Anfield club, the most outings for a single side during an illustrious career.
On Thursday the 35-year-old took to social media to showcase the times from what looks to be the first run back after a short break.

Unsurprisingly Kopites were in awe of the ace’s commitment, longevity and timings – a testament to the way Milner has conducted himself down the years.
Notorious for a tee-total lifestyle, the 61 times capped retired England international continues to truly make the most of his talents.
During an injury-plagued season last term, Milner still managed to make 36 appearances across all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

What a man.
Milner truly has been a sensational acquisition for the club, especially for free.
Often utilised in a plethora of positions, including a full season at left-back, the ace has been a warrior, leader and all-around superb servant to the Reds.
Not to mention the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA World Club Cup and UEFA Super Cup lifted during his tenure.
Set to enter the final 12 months of a deal on Merseyside, this could be Milner’s final year as a Liverpool player – with retirement, a return to Leeds and a move into coaching all possible avenues.
