Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez ‘very carefully’ ahead of a potential summer move.
The Reds have recently been linked with the 24-year-old and are believed to be weighing up possible options regarding signing the Argentine.
Martinez will arrive on Merseyside in the next fortnight when the Serie A title chasers look to overturn a 2-0 deficit in their UEFA Champions League clash.
According to a report from Inter-News, as cited on Twitter, Liverpool would love to make the prolific frontman a permanent feature at Anfield.

Translated, the tweet states ‘keep an eye on Liverpool’ as the report claims that the 37-cap ace is ‘very popular’ in England and the Reds ‘monitor him very carefully’.
So far this season Martinez has scored 12 times and provided two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £72million and under contract in Milan until 2026 (Transfermarkt), signing the frontman would be a huge outlay for the club.
However, already a proven goalscorer at the elite level and on the international stage, adding a player of Martinez’s calibre to an already well-stocked attacking department would be a superb capture.
Predominantly a more archetypal centre-foward compared to Roberto Firmino, replacing the Brazilian with a fellow South American would be far from straightforward.
But, with Firmino out of contract in 2023 and seemingly picking up regular injury issues to damage any hopes of a new deal, Martinez could be the ideal successor.
