Wolfsburg consider permanent move for Divock Origi

German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are interested in making their loan deal for Liverpool striker Divock Origi into a permanent one, according to a report on ESPN.

The 22-year-old Belgian striker joins Wolfsburg in the summer on a season-long loan deal but has been impressive during the opening few months for the club.

The Belgium international has managed to find the back of the net three times in his last six outings for the German club, who are now looking at the possibility of signing him permanently.

Origi himself is enjoying his spell at the club and is very happy to be getting regular playing time, something which he was not given at Anfield.

The forward will be looking to push into the Belgium squad for the upcoming 2018 World Cup in Russia and if his form continues then he is on course to board the flight to Russia.

He said:

I feel really well here, It’s a nice club and I am having a good time. I can grow here. And you can never rule anything out in football.

Origi has shown his versatility along the frontline and may be deployed as a winger after German forward Mario Gomez returned from injury but Origi is happy to play anywhere as long as he is a regular in the first-team.
