Wolves agree deal to sign Loris Karius on loan

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a deal to sign Loris Karius on loan for next season, according to reports in Turkey.

Karius has been on loan with Besiktas for the last season and a half, but he’s now terminated his deal with the Turkish club after a pay dispute and as such, he will soon be heading back to Anfield.

Liverpool are already well-stocked for goalkeepers with both Alisson and Adrian on their books and as such, it looks like they’re happy to let Karius move on.

The reports from Turkey suggest that Karius will move to Wolves as a backup to current number one Rui Patricio, effectively taking the place that’s been held by former England international John Ruddy for the last few years.

With Liverpool not needing Karius, letting him leave the club once again in the summer makes perfect sense.

Ideally, the Reds would want a transfer fee for the German but if they can’t get one, a loan seems like the best option for all parties.
