The LFC XI who beat Real Madrid in the 1981 European Cup final – Where are they now?

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reached the Champions League final on Wednesday night, beating Roma 7-6 on aggregate after a frantic finish to the second leg,

The Reds will face 12-time champions Real Madrid in Kiev on May 26th, as they look to win their first Champions League title since 2005.

This won’t be the first time the two teams have faced off in a European Cup final, as this year’s game in Ukraine will be a replay of the 1981 final in Paris.

Liverpool came out on top on that occasion, as Bob Paisley’s men beat Los Blancos 1-0 to secure their third European Cup.

Defender Alan Kennedy won the game in the 81st minute, with a sublime solo run which finished in him firing into the top right corner.
